Congratulations to THE RISING SOULS who won DecAid's Battle of the Bands!

In March and April DecAid ran a Battle of the Bands competition with Forth One radio. The entries received from the competition were all unsigned Scottish bands with a huge amount of potential. The competition offered the three finalists the opportunity to perform live on the Holyrood Stage near the Palace in Central Edinburgh, in aid of DecAid on Sunday 26th June. 

But the opportunities don't stop there. The winning band also won a whole day of free recording time in one of Edinburgh's top recording studios, Banana Row. This is a wonderful chance for any band looking to get signed. 

Out of all the very high quality of entries received, the judges selected 5 top bands. These bands will now battle it out in the live auditions at one of Edinburgh's top live venue's - Cabaret Voltaire - on Thursday 26th May. At this event the judging panel selected the top three bands who each had the opportunity to play live on the Holyrood Stage.
